Q. When will EWS start charging me my Service Charge?
Answer:
Under the terms of your lease or transfer, your service charge is payable for the full duration of the ownership of your property.
In the case of a new development, often the developer is likely to retain control and carry out any early management services required until they are ready to handover responsibility to EWS. In these situations, EWS will generally not commence collecting the service charge until we are providing maintenance services. We will write to advise you when handover has been completed and EWS have taken responsibility for the service provided within the service charge.
If you have paid service charge to the developer when you completed your purchase, these funds will be utilised to pay for services provided from when you completed on your property.
